Mother Design

An independent branding and design studio founded in 2006. It has two offices in London and New York providing their skills to many companies and brands. I really love the diversity of Mother Design and how they don't specialise in a particular type of branding or style, allowing an array of creative outcomes.

Each project on their website is interesting and displays a coherent and contextual understanding of each individual client. I particularly enjoyed their Body Studio project, aiming to define gym culture. They used an interesting choice of colours and illustrations, something which I like to try and incorporate in my work.

I appreciate how the company takes on an array of clients and as a consequence, their work is a healthy mix of corporate/formal designs contrasted with playful/ contemporary outcomes. It would be important for me to be in an environment which takes on a variety of projects like Mother Design so my creativity can always be pushed and developed.
